Efficient and highly accurate data generation for AI applications in the field of autonomous driving

For the training of AI applications in the field of autonomous driving, innovative technologies are required to extract highly accurate, characteristic, and unbiased datasets from a large amount of data.
just better DATA develops and implements a Smart Data Loop to efficiently collect relevant data, process it appropriately at the edge, and industrially utilize it. The data is filtered and pre-sorted during recording in the vehicle, qualified, pre-processed, and annotated. Data gaps and edge cases are identified, and synthetic data is enriched wherever necessary and meaningful. The project also explores automated anonymization of data, emphasizing the project’s principle of fair data generation.

Updates from and around jbDATA

5th Consortium Meeting of jbDATA

At the beginning of July 2025, the just better DATA project team met at AVL in Bietigheim-Bissingen. In addition to the technical exchange between the partners, a special program highlight took center stage: the implementation of extensive data collection with unusual and sometimes surprising traffic scenarios.

4th Consortium Meeting of jbDATA

At the end of January 2025, the project team met for the fourth consortium meeting at Valeo Schalter und Sensoren GmbH in Kronach to discuss their experiences and results from the project work to date.

3rd Consortium Meeting of jbDATA

The progress of the jbDATA Smart Data Loop and the latest research results from the project were presented by the project partners on 12/13 June 2024.
